History

The company was founded in 1972 by C. Kranendonk and his brother J. Kranendonk. Until the early nineties, the design, supply and installation of insulation systems for refrigerated ships and fishing vessels the main activity. The rise of economies in emerging markets like China, Indonesia and India, the number of sites and construction projects in the Netherlands so sharply. This resulted in a decrease of insulation and timber projects on ships. From 1993 scheepsbetimmeringen and ship interiors become an important part of the main activity.

Currently, C. Kranendonk BV has grown into a company with about fifty employees.
